Professional Education Director

JOB SUMMARY:The director of professional education will develop and provide oversight to the clinical education, sales training, and customer engagement resources.   ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES: Understand the market landscape related to medical education and keep us current with industry best practices. Establish relationships with key opinion leaders and peer groups. Partner across functions to prioritize capability building in a fashion that accelerates the Careflow value we deliver to our customers. Find ways to utilize current training FTE's in more productive ways. Appropriately scale the function to positively impact business metrics. Develop and provide oversight to the clinical education, sales training, and customer engagement resources. Develop a network of external resources to build content to augment internal curriculum. Build appropriate copy clearance practices. Approve and release training content to be posted on learning sites and approve final curriculums.    Monitor status of training metrics to ensure programs are compliant and positively contributing to the business. Serve as the owner of the Engagement Center - be present and interact with customers. Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function. Recommends policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization. SECONDARY DUTIES: Other duties as assigned by manager. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelors or Masters degree in instructional design, education technology or similar and 8 plus years of related experience in a healthcare environment (medical, dental or vet) or a combination of the two is required. COMPETENCY/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:  Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models. Lesson and curriculum planning skills. Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge. Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System. Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard. Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts, and quickly grasp range of complex business issues. Handle fast paced change, ambiguity and multitasking professionally.  Experience in a medical device or dental company, collaborating with medical professionals or organizational development is required. Fluency with Microsoft Office applications is required. Demonstrated innovative critical thinking, coaching and mentoring skills. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
