Cyber Security Analyst I will protect the availability, integrity and confidentiality of Midmark's information systems by performing the following duties.
Conducting technical investigations into security related incidents, including data collection, intrusion analysis and forensics
Assisting other Information Technology teammates in containing and remediating incidents.
Performing network traffic analysis and protocol analysis
Monitoring and researching emerging threat data from various sources including commercial threat intelligence resources and industry specific information sharing organizations
Monitoring and correlating actionable security events from various sources
Administrating vulnerability management tools, including Nessus and SecurityCenter
Advising IT teammates and assisting with vulnerability management and patching
Planning and implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks and data
Performing audits, risk assessments and testing of information systems
Applying advanced skills to understand and resolve complex problems
Providing support in evaluation and implementation of new tools, processes and products for information security protection, detection and response
Conducting awareness training as well as training staff on information security procedures
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Technical certifications, including CCNA, Comp TIA Security+ or GIAC Security Essentials, are desired.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a potentially stressful environment
Strong analytical skills, able to leverage complex data to identify opportunities, recognize problems, and draw logical conclusions
Ability to produce and present technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
Good temperament, ability to manage stressful situations. Ability to provide customer-facing support in a professional manner
The ability to establish and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships
Possess an understanding of attack signatures, tactics, techniques and procedures associated with advanced threats
Working knowledge of TCP/IP and the OSI model
Working experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools
Available to work off hours during the evenings and weekends as required, sometimes with little advanced notice
Working knowledge of Windows, Linux and other operating systems
Working knowledge of cryptography algorithms and protocols
Experience with programming and scripting languages

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
