Commodity Sourcing Lead

The Commodity Sourcing Lead isresponsible for strategic global sourcing, managing supplier relationships,supply chain security, supplier measurement, supplier contracts, and supplierpricing for the supply base within the commodities assigned. Commodity SourcingLeads will be managing multiple commodities.
Maintainsexpert knowledge of assigned commodities including industry trends, economicfactors, supply chain security issues and key suppliers within each commodity.
Develops andimplements commodity and supplier strategies and leads implementation ofstrategies through supplier qualification and disqualification.
Managessupplier relationships within each commodity through intimate knowledge of thesuppliers' management team, facilities, capabilities, business health, andperformance record.
Interfacesbetween new product development teams and the supplier base to lead thesupplier selection process and ensure support and success of new productdevelopment projects.
Collaborateswith Quality organization on supplier quality programs and quality monitoringincluding problem solving at supplier sites.
Managescomponent pricing from suppliers within assigned commodities.
Leads costreduction/cost containment projects through implementation.
Develops,implements, and maintains security of supply plans within assigned commodities.
Assess andprovide performance feedback to suppliers.
Managessupplier contracts within assigned commodities.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college oruniversity; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to collaborate internally to understandproduct needs and plans for future product development projects
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
ERP experience, preferably with Oracle
Ability to establish and maintain effectiveinterpersonal working relationships with internal customers, external suppliersand fellow teammates at all levels
Must possess solid verbal and written communicationskills
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality anddiscretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
Openness to domestic and international travel
Electrical Commodity experience a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
